Bang Out Games mission is to become the largest publisher of Casual Games
each and every year, through strategic funding of Independent Developers
who have unique Game ideas. We have heard the cries from our fellow developers,
driven to frustration in the trenches of the giant publishers, and we have
felt the pain first hand of sequel after boring sequel coming from the large studios.
Not too long ago, at a Game Developer Conference rant, a developer stood
up and said, "The funding model is flawed!" He said, "We
can't rely on Giant Big Box Retail Publishers to call the shots - it stifles
creativity and leads to low game sales and the developers hardly see a dime.
We need alternate funding sources!"
We couldn't agree more. And we're fixing the funding model.
In the beginning, games could be built in a few months, with a few guys
and a few thousand dollars. The games were so innovative and fun. Then it
became million dollar budgets, 100 man teams, 2+ year development cycles,
and what happened to the innovation?
It's time to get back to the basics. Small Teams, Innovative Ideas, Fast
Cycles!
The tools are there to do it, the ideas are plenty, and customers are clamoring
for innovation. The time is now. We are here to help indies Bang Out Games
and get the rewards they deserve.
